Adobe AIR is a great program that was released at the end of February. AIR stands for Adobe Integrated Runtime and is a very versatile runtime environment that uses Flash, Flex, HTML and Ajax. Because it is compatible with four programming languages, there are many great looking programs for it and most of them are cross platform, so they'll work with Windows, OS X and Linux! Shrink O'Matic is an easy to use batch image resizer. It handles JPGs, GIFs and PNGs. Just drag and drop the images, set your options and presto chango! The images are resized.
Snacker
Snacker is a RSS ticker that pulls random items from your feeds and scrolls them across your desktop. When you see a title that looks interesting, you can click on it to pop up the item in a window.
YouTube Air Widget
Get YouTube delivered right to your desktop! Browse through the top
rated or favorites videos, or search for videos directly from the widget. The search panel can be minimized / maximized by clicking on the arrow.
ImageDropr
ImageDropr is a new tool for uploading your images to flickr. This application takes a unique approach towards preparing your content, titles, tags, etc. by creating tools that expedite this process. You will simply drag your images into the application at which time your global flickr tags are automatically applied. You may then add additional tags to the entire upload set or click into the image's settings to further customize the image properties. Next, just click the upload button and get per image and overall upload status feedback. Finally, review all of your uploads in the upload log
